The "Under the Rainbow" Activity Box contains a series of developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 0-5 years. Each activity is simple in design and execution and can easily be implemented by any caregiver with a child. Although simple in design, the benefits of these activities are many and complex. The box contains 165 cards describing easy gesture, sound, music, art, puppet, movement, and drama activities. Each activity provides a unique and fun approach to relationship building as well as to the development of attachment, trust, self-esteem, and creativity. Four hand dyed silk scarves are included: These are neutral props, which may be transformed from ball to blanket to kite to baby to flower. The manner in which the scarves may be used is described on each card. Specific psychosocial rewards of each activity are also noted on the respective card. The activity cards are printed on sturdy waterproof cards.
